The SolarEdge SE-AC-SPD-I is a plug-in AC surge protection device for SolarEdge three-phase inverters with SetApp configuration (SExxK-xxxIBxx4), excluding units with Synergy Technology. It guards the inverter's AC power lines against transient surges such as lightning strikes and over-voltage events. The compact 86 x 53 x 30mm unit is rated for a maximum operating voltage of 305V, with a nominal discharge current of 10kA and a maximum discharge current of 20kA (8/20us waveform). It fits inside the inverter enclosure for an IP65 rating once installed, and is field-replaceable without rewiring, with the inverter's monitoring platform generating an alert when replacement is needed. It is certified to IEC 61643-11 Type 2 and UL 1449 Type 4, and operates from -40 to +85 degC.
