The Fox ESS High-Voltage Control Box, branded CQ BOX on its own datasheet, is the control and metering unit a Fox ESS CQ16 (or CQ7) high-voltage battery system is built around; one is required per battery system. It measures and manages total stack voltage and current across an operating range of 101-1000Vdc, handling up to 240A of charge or discharge current with better than 92% charge/discharge efficiency, and communicates with the inverter and battery modules over CAN. It shares its enclosure's footprint and styling with the CQ16 module it is stacked alongside.
