The Fox ESS EPS Box-SP is a single-phase backup switching box that sits between the grid, a compatible Fox ESS single-phase hybrid inverter or AC charger (H1-G2, K, PowerQ or Evo series) and the household load, switching the installation automatically between on-grid and off-grid supply for whole-home backup. It is rated for a maximum utility input of 100A per phase and a 63A inverter-side connection, in a wall-mounted, naturally-cooled metal enclosure rated IP65 for indoor or outdoor use. It weighs 16kg net and operates from -25°C to +60°C. Communication to the inverter runs over RS-485, with built-in meter support. It is intended as an accessory for a compatible Fox ESS single-phase hybrid system, not as a standalone product.
