Genius Roof - Slate Refit Kit

The Genius Roof Solutions SolarFlash Slate Refit Kit is a weatherproof flashing for fitting a solar panel mounting bracket through an existing slate roof. The SolarFlash unit measures 365 x 365 mm with a 50 x 140 x 40 mm hood, and the kit includes three Hallhooks with a hookpull tool, two wooden shims and a foam insert, plus three compensation hooks for refitting the surrounding slates. It suits natural and manmade slate roofs with double-lap slates up to 600 mm long and a head lap of 75-100 mm. The Hallhooks give a hidden, permanent fixing for the slates around the flashing, avoiding the visible plastic clips or lead strips used with older repair methods. The kit is intended for retrofitting brackets into a slate roof that is already in place, as opposed to the new-build version of the same flashing.
