The GSE Flashing Hook is a fastener used to secure the lateral flashing pieces of the GSE In-Roof mounting system to the wooden battens beneath a roof-integrated solar array. GSE's installation manual specifies a minimum of two hooks per flashing piece, so that each flashing section is held firmly against the roof structure and stays weatherproof over time. It is a small fitting rather than a structural part of the mounting system, and is supplied as part of the wider GSE In-Roof System component range.
