The Redtip HookStop is a shock-absorbing tile made from recycled rubber (grade R900, Rypol), sized 248 x 165 x 10mm, designed to replace a roof tile immediately beneath a solar mounting hook. It has a density of 900kg/m³, a tensile strength of 1.4N/mm² and a hardness of 60° Shore A, and provides up to 30dB of sound damping. By sitting under the hook instead of the original tile, it absorbs load and movement at the fixing point, reducing the risk of the surrounding tiles cracking. It is certified to BS 4790, BS 5696 and BS 7188, and is MCS certified for UK solar installations.
