The S4 RooFit Universal Frame is the load-bearing base plate of the S4 RooFit building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roof system, providing the structural support that solar panels sit within when they are fitted flush into a tile or slate roof. As the 'universal' frame, it forms the core mounting structure onto which the system's other components, such as support pins and flashing hooks, are fitted to complete a roof-integrated array. It is used on both tile and slate roof coverings as part of a full S4 RooFit in-roof installation.
