This SESUK Synergy Unit is the rapid-shutdown-fitted version of SolarEdge's modular power-conversion block, which together with a Synergy Manager forms a complete three-phase commercial inverter supplied for the UK and Ireland. Each inverter consists of two or three Synergy Units and one Synergy Manager; each unit operates independently and is mounted separately, for easy two-person installation and serviceability. With rapid shutdown fitted, DC conductors are automatically de-energised on AC grid disconnect, with built-in arc fault protection. It accepts a DC input of up to 1000V DC+ to DC- (680-1000V operating range), with ground-fault isolation detection and reverse-polarity protection built in. DC connections are MC4 or gland, depending on part number. Cooling is by a user-replaceable fan, and the unit is IP65-rated for indoor or outdoor fitting from -40 to +60°C. It measures 558 x 328 x 273mm and weighs 32kg.
