The SolarEdge SE8K is the 8kW model in the Home Wave three-phase inverter range for Europe, designed to work with SolarEdge power optimisers. It is rated at 8000VA AC output on a 400/230V three-phase supply with neutral, and accepts up to 12,000W of PV array power (module STC) with a maximum input voltage of 900V DC. Maximum efficiency is 98%, with a European weighted efficiency of 97.6%. The inverter is commissioned from a smartphone using the SolarEdge SetApp and connects to monitoring over Ethernet, with Wi-Fi and cellular as options. Arc fault protection is built in. The unit measures 540 x 315 x 191mm, weighs 16.4kg and is rated IP65 for indoor or outdoor mounting. Its datasheet lists the UK G98 and G100 grid connection standards.
