The SolarEdge Home Hot Water Controller (SMRT-HOT-WTR-30-S2) automatically adjusts the power sent to a resistive immersion heater - up to 3.0kW - using surplus solar generation, maximising self-consumption instead of exporting unused power to the grid. It connects wirelessly to the inverter over the SolarEdge Home Network at 863-870MHz, removing the need for extra control wiring, and includes a built-in power consumption meter for the water tank circuit. Suitable for purely resistive loads only, it is wall mounted, measures 375 x 240 x 110mm, weighs 5.3kg, carries an IP65 rating for indoor or outdoor installation, and is covered by a five-year warranty. An optional temperature sensor, ordered separately, allows optimised heating control.
