The SolaX X1-FIT G4 is a single-phase retrofit battery inverter that couples on the AC side, so it can add battery storage to a home with an existing solar inverter rather than replacing it. The 5.0kW model delivers 5000W nominal AC output and up to 5500VA, with a 30A continuous battery charge/discharge current over an 80-480V battery voltage range, and is compatible with both lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries. In an outage it switches to EPS backup in under 10ms, and up to 150% EPS output is available for 10 seconds. The inverter is IP65 rated for indoor or outdoor mounting, measures 482 x 417 x 181mm and weighs 23kg, and supports on- and off-grid parallel operation with other X1-FIT units.
