Ubiflex Standard is a non-lead, aluminium-mesh-reinforced bitumen flashing supplied as a 400mm wide, 12m long roll in black. It is designed as a lighter, faster-to-dress alternative to traditional lead flashing at roof abutments, chimneys and solar panel penetrations. The material is 3.5mm thick, weighs 19.2kg per roll (3.7kg/m2), and is rated for continuous use between -30C and 90C. Tested with Ubbink's High Tack sealant, it withstands wind speeds up to 110mph. It carries a Class E fire rating to EN 13501-1 and a Class B rating to BS 476-3, with very good UV resistance. Fully recyclable and non-toxic, it does not react with aluminium, copper or zinc, and can be dressed by hand or with standard bossing tools without the health and handling precautions lead requires.
